About the event
In partnership with Anglican Care Waiapu, we offer a free cooking community with resources, cookbooks and lots of fun times. The programme is called Senior Chef and is designed for those over 60 years. The programme runs for 8 weeks and involves weekly gatherings where you have the opportunity to cook together, chat together, and share in lunch. Alongside all of this, you receive a cookbook full of fantastic recipes that make easy cooking.
Senior Chef is far more than a cooking class. It is a space to connect with others, learn some things you might never have learned, and perhaps redevelop a passion for cooking. The programme has a focus on learning some of the basics of nutrition as well as some tips and tricks for supermarket shopping to bring that bill down!
