A Taonga of the Church

It is not a widely known gift that the Anglican Church in New Zealand is also the manager of the largest theological library in the southern hemisphere. The John Kinder Library, based at the College of St John the Evangelist, the provincial seminary, is a massive resource to those studying or with an active interest in theology, biblical studies and church history.

Perhaps even better than this, any member of any Anglican (or Methodist) Church within the Province of Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia can have free membership to the library, which also comes with digital journal access and free delivery and return of books borrowed. That means you can enjoy the treasure of the library from the comfort of your own reading nook, at no expense.

If you are interested in joining the library and accessing the treasure trove of books, material and history you can visit the library's website by clicking here or you can access the form below, complete it and bring it into the church office (or email the office) and we will get you connected to the library.
