Last Sunday marked the first gathering in All Saints' Church since the laying of new carpet. The general reaction was 'wow' as the new flooring gave a sense of renewed space and helped to make a good contrast with the new paint to make an expansive and open feeling space.
The carpet marks the last major 'notable' change that will be made to All Saints, with the ongoing refurb work centred on sound and light systems which will add to the space but not add to the visual experience with changed structures or new equipment - if anything it will reduce the amount of visible technology within the church space.
With the new carpet in, we also took the opportunity to invite Michelle Fey of Capture Us Photography (based in what was St Peter's on the site at All Saints) to take some photos. These are offered below.
